Our Backdrop

Indeed the Lord sent snow from the sky on our day. That was monumental. He knew. Really, I mean - when you decide to get married outside you sort of take on a good amount of risk. You don't know what you're going to get until you're in the moment. And a week ago it was 58 degrees and more than half of our 4 ft of snow had melted. I wasn't fond of standing in mud, but we had made the decision long ago that outside was more important than the weather. It would be what it would be.

However, when Saturday morning rolled around, it was as though we sent a personal request straight to the big JC. And boy oh boy, did He ever deliver.

The photographer was beside herself.

All of the boys arrived at the park first. You remember - the park. The roads leading into the park were not stellar, but we were too in awe of the trees to really care that we were only going 25 mph. Joe spent some time with his camera and captured our backdrop before the First Look.

IT Jesus was there (on the left above) to capture everything on video.
Time for the First Look in the middle of our white meadow...

... which is where Bryon stood to wait for me to walk across to join him.

PS: Things I Love Thursday will be back again next week!

  1. Oh my god, I love that photo of the ice and snow on the tree, it looks like a Christmas decoration!

Surely the only thing left to love now on a Thursday is your Mr Krutsch?
