Hayley Noelle has become a fisherwoman, and her father and I couldn't be prouder.
Three years ago, we took her to a fishin' hole in a cow pasture for Father's Day. She did great, but squicked out at touching the worms and being so close to a fish.
By last summer, she was touching worms, fishing hard, and mostly paying attention to her bobber. AND she defied us all by carrying a crappie around the backyard. Hollah, girl.
A couple of weeks ago we took her with us to one of our favorite lakes. We fished off of the rocks, which is where we usually catch crappie.
Daddy helped with casting (and no, you are not hallucinating - she is about 8" taller).
She sort of got the hang of it.
Hales didn't catch any crappie that day, but she sure had a great attitude about it. And she does love when we use lures instead of live bait, but I don't hold that against her.
We told her that being a fisherwoman is mostly about attitude, and she has a great one. We are so proud of her!
